When a bottle of O’Keeffe’s Working Hands cream dropped on the beauty desk here at LIVING, I was first in line to try it out.

Why was I so keen? Well, I’ve always suffered with dry and chapped hands, even as a child. And as I’ve got older it’s only gotten worse. Changes in weather, both hot and cold spells, stress and certain care products can all irritate and make my skin dry.

And I’ve lost count of how many different potions and lotions I’ve tried to help with my skin problems.

O’Keeffe’s Working Hands cream promises to ‘work to repair and protect chapped and dry skin’ and it also says it ‘is a welcome relief for those that work with their hands’ – gardeners, builder and DIY-enthusiasts spring to mind – all of which I am not.

So can a simple writer with overly-dry hands find some relief?

Dry hands relief

The answer is yes.  This little green bottle of joy is the perfect little accessory for your hand bag – dry hands or not. It smells great, goes on well and is non-greasy. And it absorbs quickly which is great if you need to get back to your keyboard or daily duties quickly.

It comes in two sizes – a bottle and a tub. For on the go use and one you can shove in your hand bag i would recommend the bottle. Plus, it’s bright colour makes it easier to find when you are rummaging through.
