Doves to play summer show at Birmingham Innercity Live taking place at Perry Park on Sunday, July 28 – here are all the details
British rock band, Doves, will regroup to play a show in Birmingham later this month.
The band which went their separate ways in 2010, announced their return in 2018. Now they will play the Innercity Live festival show at Birmingham’s Perry Park. The Coral, Johnny Marr and The Twang will be be the support acts at the show due to take place on Sunday, July 28.
Doves quickly became an indie favourite following timeless singles like There Goes The Fear, Pounding and Black And White Town. The Manchester band’s four albums to date have also won critical acclaim over the years, including the Mercury Prize-nominated brace of Lost Souls and The Last Broadcast, followed by Some Cities and Kingdom Of Rust.
No strangers to the festival scene, the band, made up of Jimi Goodwin and twin brothers Andy and Jez Williams, have played Glastonbury regularly, as well 2003’s Teenage Cancer Trust concerts and the BBC Electric Proms.
Doves stepped off stage in 2010 and went their separate ways for an indefinite period. In 2018, still close friends, they announced a return.
Doves play Innercity Live on Sunday, July 28 at Perry Park, 281 Aldridge Road, Birmingham, B42 2EY. Call the Box Office No: 0844 249 1000 or www.innercitylive.co.uk. Tickets priced from £37.50.
