Find out more about a brand new drama club for children in Lichfield launching this autumn
A new drama school for children is launching in Lichfield this autumn. The club, which will be held at the Lichfield Garrick, will begin on September 28, 2019.
Garrick Juniors will be a new group for 6 to 10-year-olds. The sessions will take place every Saturday morning at the theatre located on Castle Dyke in the city centre.
The group is designed to help children to develop their drama skills and gain confidence both on and off stage. And the sessions will cover all things drama, including learning the basics of movement and scripts. In addition, children will take part in drama-inspired games.
Jonny McClean, Associate Director at the theatre, says:
“Accessing Drama and Theatre at an early age is a fantastic way for young people to learn co-ordination, stoke the fires of imagination, enrich your life and most importantly enjoy themselves! We’re thrilled to have Garrick Juniors beginning here soon, and urge anyone who might be interested and wants to try drama in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to give it a go!”
