Weston Park will turn into an enchanted forest for Christmas
Weston Park will become an enchanted forest this December. The experience, taking place each evening from Friday December 13 to Saturday December 21, combines a colourful illuminated winter walk under the stars and a pop up courtyard festival.
Visitors can experience an illuminated trail through the ancient trees in the grounds of Weston Hall. Viewing landmarks, like Paine’s Bridge and the Stone Arbour, lit up in differing hues of colour.
A spokesperson said: “Enchanted Weston celebrates the beauty of the natural world, taking its inspiration from the cold crisp nights, the chill in the air, the sparkle of frost and the night sky.
“Visitors were left spellbound in 2018, and in 2019 Enchanted Weston promises to be even more captivating.
“This joyful experience is all about the allure of the night and a reinvention of the pleasure grounds that were created hundreds of years ago by the master of landscaping, Capability Brown.
“A rising fog over Temple Pool will create a mystical sense of awe and fascination, and the appearance of mysterious smoke rings will add to the intrigue. Other new surprises include added sparkle in the form of a magic mirror ball area for picture perfect photos!”
Stables courtyard will feature warming fire pits and food and drink.
“Creative partner Festive Fizz and Eats is injecting a sense of the winter festival atmosphere with faux furs to snuggle up on around the fire, street food to tuck in to, marshmallows to toast and, whether it’s a cool cocktail or luxurious hot chocolate, there’s an array of drinks to indulge in.”
A selection of handpicked local producers will also feature as part of a pop up festive market. Entry into the walk is by timed slots every half hour from 5pm – 8pm.
The Enchanted Weston Experience is available by advanced tickets only which can be booked via www.weston-park.com/event/enchanted-weston/. Ticket cost from £9 per person.
