The Donna Louise launches limited-edition gin to celebrate 20th anniversary
The Donna Louise has collaborated with Nelson’s Distillery in Uttoxeter to launch a special edition gin in celebration of its 20th anniversary as a registered charity.
The limited-edition run of just 200 bottles has been carefully and uniquely blended with botanical ingredients including coconut, hibiscus, all-spice, vanilla and pink grapefruit at Nelson’s Distillery specifically for The Donna Louise.
The ceramic gin bottle, made by Wade Ceramics, features a Gladman Developments design based on a painting by 14 year-old Trinnie Hamilton who comes to The Donna Louise.
Chris Belyavin, Relationship Manager at The Donna Louise comments: “We’re thrilled to launch The Donna Louise Gin! It’s a great way to celebrate the hospice’s 20th year as a registered charity, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to Nelson’s Distillery, Wade Ceramics and Gladman Developments for working with us to bring this exciting project to life.”
Chris continues: “With all of the profits from the sale of each bottle coming straight to the hospice, it makes the perfect Christmas gift, and will make a huge difference for local children and young people like Trinnie who rely on our services.”
Ruth Samspon, General Manager at Nelson’s Distillery comments: “ We are honoured to be part of this creation and helping to raise vital funds for a fantastic charity. This is a bespoke Nelson’s Gin, specially created for the Donna Louise Charity.”
The Donna Louise provides care and support for children, young adults and their families. This care is provided in a purpose-built hospice, in the family home – or a combination of both.
Currently the charity cares for more than 260 children and young adults from across Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
Each bottle of the special edition costs £44 (including all taxes) and can be bought from Nelson’s Distillery online shop: https://ngin.nelsonsdistillery.co.uk.
