Ireland’s sweetheart Nathan Carter brings his country pop sound to Cannock

Irish country pop star Nathan Carter is bringing his new tour to the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock this January. Accompanied by a live band and supported by rising star Claudia Buckley.

Nathan released his 11th studio album entitled The Irish Heartland in November 2019 and has a brand new track: May the Road Rise featuring legendary Irish folk group, The High Kings. The track was written by Nathan and his manager, John Farry and is described as: “an uplifting, high-energy song about good fortune, well-wishes and friendship”.

His energetic performances have earned him fame on the UK touring circuit and fans love his on stage bravado. So much so, he has performed for Pop Francis in Croke Park in Dublin, as well as shows in Ireland at the 3Arena Dublin and SSE Arena Belfast. Having released his first biography: Born for the Road: My Story So Far in 2018, last year he marked St Patrick’s Day with his very own show on BBC Radio Ulster. He also has seven top 10 albums.

With influences coming from Johnny Cash, Don Williams and Dolly Parton, Nathan has a definite country pop vibe. Expect to hear fan-favourites such as Wagon Wheel and I Wanna Dance, plus new tracks from his latest album. 

The 2020 UK tour kicks off on January 29 and will run right through to November 28. Nathan will play at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock on Friday 31 January. www.ticketline.co.uk.
