Nelson's Distillery & School has new UK city centre ventures in the pipeline
Nelson’s Distillery & School is excited to announce the grand opening of its first UK ventures.
In partnership with the Clayton Hotel Birmingham and Manchester and Hilton Leeds City, Nelson’s new schools will see its world-class experience transported to the bright lights of the city.
Participants will learn the colourful history of gin – today’s most popular spirit – and will have the opportunity to get creative making their own bottle. This 4-5 hour interactive, hands-on experience will provide an in-depth introduction into the art and precision of distilling.

Distillery students will be immersed in over 50 botanicals, picking and blending their own unique recipe. They will watch as their craft creation distills before their eyes. Once finished, each person will wax and label their 70cl bottle, which will be ready to take home that same day.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, along with plentiful amounts of gin. Taxis or a stopover at the hotels are recommended, with overnight stay packages available with ticket purchase.
Gin & Vodka School bookings made at the Clayton Hotels – Manchester Airport and in Albert Street in Birmingham, as well as Hilton Hotel in Leeds City will include a £20 gift voucher to spend at Nelson’s Distillery & School online shop. The £20 gift vouchers will be handed out at the school.
A single still with one person making the spirit and receiving a 70cl bottle is £115. A shared still with two people making a 70cl spirit is £155.
Prices are for the class only and do not include overnight accommodation. The Gin & Vodka School is also available to be hired in full on an exclusive basis.
