Join a thriving community at Chase Grammar School in Cannock

Chase Grammar School is an academic and caring community for 2-19 year olds, with a small family feel.

We have big ambitions and a big heart for all of our students. At over 140 years old, we have considerable experience of working with students and helping them achieve their very best.

We offer a broad curriculum for the 21st century which promotes the academic achievement, personal development and global citizenship of all students at A level, GCSE, and throughout our school, in small, focused classes.

Chase Grammar School

At over 140 years old, we have considerable experience of working with students and helping them achieve their very best.

As a small community, we get to know each individual student exceptionally well. We ensure that we communicate regularly with parents through our weekly email, and parents can be sure that we keep a very close eye on the welfare and wellbeing of every single young person in our care.

Our distinctive Chase Passport is used by students throughout the school to set themselves challenges and to plan personal targets to develop each of nine character strengths which we believe are central to success in the 21st century:

  • Collaboration
  • Creativity
  • Decision Making
  • Empathy
  • Global Citizenship
  • Integrity
  • Leadership
  • Problem Solving
  • Resilience

Our distinctive Chase Passport is used by students throughout the school to set themselves challenges and to plan personal targets to develop nine character strengths.

Lyncroft House, our Prep School, and Chase Grammar International Study Centre are part of one integrated campus where students work hard, learn from each other and have fun together.

Each student at Chase Grammar is also assigned a dedicated Academic Mentor who meets with them every morning.

Regular one-to-one tutorials take place in this tutor group, focusing on academic progress and individualised pastoral support.  Students are trained to develop the skills of self-assessment and target setting by working closely with teachers and senior staff, as they progress from “Bronze” to “Silver” and “Gold” on our personalised monitoring system.

In Year 13, Chase Grammar School students meet weekly with senior academic mentors from the Leadership Team. This close dialogue enables us to focus students on every important detail: choosing the right university courses; extending themselves through reading; independent study and work experience; writing personal statements; improving time management; and utilising effective revision strategies.

We hope that you will want to join our thriving community, and let Chase Grammar School be your son or daughter’s passport to academic success, personal development and global citizenship!
