Pick the perfect pumpkin yourself at one of these local pumpkin patches in Stafforshire
Picking the perfect pumpkin is no easy feat. Luckily at these local pumpkin patches in Staffordshire picking your very own pumpkin is safe and fun. Kids will love to see the fields of orange and find their very own pumpkin to take home and carve.
Here’s where we’ll be picking our pumpkins this year!
Lower Drayton Farm
Get spooky season off to a great start with pumpkin picking at Lower Drayton Farm near Penkridge. Plus, take advantage of the pumpkin carving sessions available in the on-site stretch tent.
The farm is open every weekend during October and daily during Halloween half term until 5pm.
While you are there you can also enjoy the ‘Play’ attraction set on a 750-acre working farm with adventures indoors and outdoors. A 900sqm indoor play barn features the longest racing Astro slide in the UK, as well as gravity drop slides, a traverse climbing wall, and much more. Outdoors has activities like racing zipwires, bouncy pillows, sand, and water play. Plus, get up close with rabbits and Guinea Pigs, goats, pigs, cattle and other farmyard favourites.

Amerton Farm
You are able to pick your own pumpkin at the farm’s pumpkin patch located at the bottom of the car park. There is no pre-booking required, but there may be a small wait on the day depending on capacity.
There is also a clean and scoop area where you can leave all the seeds from inside the pumpkin at the farm for planting next year. And carving kits are available at the patch too.
Available all day October 17 and October 18 and from October 24 to October 31.

Canalside Farm
The farm has planted over 7,000 squash, gourds, and pumpkins for its autumn season. And will be opening up for people to pick their own Halloween pumpkin on selected days between October 10 to October 31.
Choose from orange, green, yellow, and white pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, join in family games by the patch, or take advantage of plenty of fun photo opportunities. You can enter a photo competition too for the chance to win a Halloween themed hamper.

Woore Fruit Farm
Woore Fruit Farm on Newcastle Road in Woore opens seasonally from the end of May to end of September, and October weekends and at half term for Pumpkins and Bradley apples.
Visit for pumpkin picking at weekends from 9.30am until 5pm.
The family-run fruit farm has bundles of autumn fruit to pick and is a great experience for kids.
Bednall Farm located at Moors Covert Farm, Cock Lane in Stafford has a pick your own pumpkin patch on October 17 and October 18 and every day from October 24 to October 31.
You have to pre-book in advance using the events page on Facebook, entry is free. Book soon as some dates are already sold out.
