At Yarlet we strive to create and maintain an environment where children are happy, secure and challenged to achieve their personal best in all areas of school life.
Children attend Yarlet between the ages of 2 and 13, when they leave as confident, responsible young adults who have learned the importance of excellent behaviour, good manners and respect for others.
We place great emphasis on all-round education which allows children to discover and develop their individual talents be they academic, sporting, artistic or musical. The wonderful grounds are home to the games fields, astro-turf pitch, sports hall, swimming pool and wildlife pool, which are used and enjoyed by all the children.

A family atmosphere prevails at Yarlet, the heart of which is a positive, nurturing relationship between pupils and staff; teachers know their pupils exceptionally well and have high expectations across the board.
Yarlet’s academic record is excellent. Pupils have first-class opportunities to study and are expected and encouraged to work hard. When the time comes to move on from Yarlet, pupils are prepared for entry into a wide range of schools.

In June 2020, all pupils achieved success in entrance examinations to the following schools: Denstone College, Newcastle-under-Lyme School, Repton School, St Dominic’s Priory and Wrekin College. In addition, 50% of pupils achieved awards to those schools in the following disciplines: Academic, Drama, Choral, Music, Art, Repton CB Fry Award.
Every day is an open day at Yarlet. For a much fuller picture, do come and see the school in action, get a feel for the place, talk to the staff and meet the people who matter most, the children. We look forward to meeting you.
