Moddershall Oaks Country Spa Retreat reveals investment on new restaurant ‘The Oak House Balcony Bar & Restaurant’
At a time when the hospitality industry has been forced to remain closed, Staffordshire’s five-star Country Spa Retreat, Moddershall Oaks has continued to invest into its on-site facilities and development strategy.
Following an expansion and refurbishment, the award-winning spa retreat is proud to reveal its new restaurant ‘The Oak House’ which welcomed diners from the 17th May 2021. As part of the complete refurbishment and expansion, The Oak House comprises of both a main restaurant downstairs, along with a balcony bar and private dining space upstairs which opened on the 1st July 2021.
The new restaurant offers its guests picturesque lakeside dining, casual drinks, afternoon tea & Sunday lunch. The Oak House brings a contemporary feel to the existing 5* retreat, whilst providing a comfortable dining experience for all. Whereby the previous Lakeside Restaurant was only open to over 11’s, The Oak House now welcomes children for a family celebration. For those looking for a delicious dining experience in the local Staffordshire area, The Oak House is also open to non-spa-goers with a separate entrance and driveaway to the spa and hotel.
Serving delicious meals created by the Head Chef Colin Aldridge, The Oak House has introduced several new menus into its main restaurant, designed to suit those of all dietary needs. This includes an all-day menu (served 12-9:30pm), a children’s menu, a vegan menu, a specific Sunday lunch menu along with two afternoon tea menus catered for both regular dining and a vegan diet respectively. The Balcony Bar also offers a brunch menu for diners available on Friday and Saturday’s.
On announcement of The Oak House, Head Chef Colin Aldridge says “We’re proud to be announcing the opening of The Oak House, especially after an incredibly difficult year for the industry. We are hopeful that the new menus will cater for a range of celebrations and are thoroughly looking forward to our guests feedback!”
Director Penny Weston adds “We are incredibly privileged to have been able to refurbish the restaurant area as this had been a goal for many years. With a new luxurious and elegant dining area, along with a fresh menu, this will help position The Oak House as not only, Moddershall Oaks’ spa restaurant, but an independent dining experience for local non-spa guests.”
