A summer getaway in a caravan might be a Great British tradition but a retailer has jumped on board to revamp a staycation staple.
Wayfair, one of the world’s largest destinations for the home, has unveiled the new Dixie Daydream staycation retreat, in exclusive partnership with The Style Producers.
Located at Camber Sands in East Sussex, Dixie Daydream is owned by stylists, Cassandra Doyle and Diana Civil – aka, ‘The Style Producers’. Fuelled by their love of all things interiors, the pair stepped up to the challenge of transforming a simple static caravan using Wayfair’s wide range of unique furniture and decor and home renovation products.
The project provided an opportunity for the duo to flex their creativity, transforming the space which embraces joyful maximalist style. The caravan offers accommodation for up to six adults with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
“As Stylists and Art Directors we are always excited by new finds and treasures and a spot of DIY, so what better way to channel our creativity than to transform a static caravan into a boutique stay like no other.” said styling duo, Cassandra and Diana.
The renovation project included changes to hardware, including a copper sink upgrade and contemporary fireplace, both from Wayfair. As many Brits look to improve over move, there is plenty of inspiration for DIY decor. Ideas include how a simple change to kitchen handles can make a difference to the overall look.
“Dixie Daydream turns a traditionally lack-lustre caravan design on its head and proves that even the smallest space can be a haven of personal style if you renovate it thoughtfully,” said Wayfair’s Resident Style Advisor, Nadia McCowan Hill. “Staycations are one post pandemic trend that’s set to stay and Consumers are increasingly on the hunt for truly memorable but affordable holiday lets. Dixie delivers a dreamlike space that offers just that and at Wayfair we offer all you need to recreate the look, from plush plumbing to dreamy decor.”
The Style Producers added: “With not an airline delay or passport queue in sight, we are championing the staycation revival for 2022 – glamorous Dixie Daydream, a glass of something tasty, and good old fish and chips – it’s the perfect holiday combination.”
