We all hope the worst of the winter chill is behind us and, at Sprinks farm shop in Ipstones, the first signs of spring are already apparent with a fresh range of new produce and some exciting ideas to kick start 2023.
At their home farms, Sprinks and Somerdale farms, things are bursting into life all around. Fresh life in the fields means their organic deer and rare breed cattle, sheep and pigs are enjoying some freshly grown grass after a long winter.
In the shop, the traditional spring lamb (from rare breed Grey faced Dartmoor sheep) is a huge favourite. With easter coming soon, the team have put together a special half lamb box to complement their venison and breakfast brunch boxes. Of course, easter wouldn’t be complete without an easter egg – and they have that covered too with a range of chocolates (as well as free range hens eggs of course).
And if that doesn’t tickle your taste buds, the local veg, dry aged beef and homemade hams, sausages and burgers certainly will.
Make the most of the spring sunshine and give them a visit.
