The pub was originally a farmhouse with a brewhouse added in the nineteenth century. It was taken over and reopened as a free house by it’s current owners in 2012.
With a great reputation for well-priced, well -cooked,seasonal and traditional fayre, some of the midweek specials are great value for money and is dog friendly and is home to two darts teams, three dominoes teams and Woodseaves FC. So a traditional village inn perfect for walkers or a country destination pub that has all charm you need on a sunny afternoon or evening.
With a great dining area, that has been fully refurbished recently, they are happy to welcome you for a pint, a quick bite, a long lunch or an evening dinner. Now the warmer months are here there is a super outdoor area and if you can’t face going out to eat just call and order over the phone and pop in to pick it up, from the great takeaway menu. The food is home cooked and along with generous portions, it provides a satisfying menu that is great value for money,

There are the midweek specials that range from Fish and chips on a Monday which is just £25 for two. Grill Night on a Tuesday including a bottle of wine £40 for two. Add that to the Pie night and Curry night . It is so reasonable that you may never want to cook again. And if you still have room following the main meal they have a great selection of desserts to tempt you. Even if you don’t have room, I suggest you find some as you will not want to turn down the tempting treats on offer.
