Smithfield Works, located within the heart of Stoke-on-Trent’s transformative Smithfield development, has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Regeneration Project of the Year’ trophy/accolade at the Insider West Midlands Property Awards.
Finalist status recognises the significant impact the £200m mixed-use project has made on the local economy and community.
Since its opening in 2022, Smithfield Works has addressed the evolving demands of the work landscape, providing a solution for flexible workspace needs in Stoke-on-Trent. Designed to support the growth of innovative young businesses across diverse sectors, Smithfield Works offers more than 127 desks.
Over the past year, 11 out of 12 office suites have been occupied, with more in the pipeline.
The awards, in its 23rd year, celebrate the success and resilience of the commercial property sector and will be held at the Eastside Rooms on Thursday November 23rd.
The Smithfield Works project was delivered in partnership between Genr8 Developments, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
It has not only revitalised urban spaces, but has actively engaged with the community, hosting events and exhibitions.
