McDonald’s Franchisee, Mike McCollum, who owns and operates two restaurants around Lichfield, is proud to be the brand-new sponsor of two local youth football teams.
The new sponsorship will help support the Chasetown Lioness under 11’s girls team and the Walsall Wood Rebels under 12’s boys team by funding new kit and training equipment for the current 24/25 season and seasons ahead.
Mike McCollum and his restaurants have been supporting grassroots football in the local community as part of McDonald’s Fun Football programme for the last 18 months, since he acquired his restaurants. McDonald’s is the longest-standing supporter of grassroots football in the UK and has worked with the Home Nation Football Associations for over 20 years.
The McDonald’s restaurants on Lichfield’s Conduit Street and Wall Island celebrated the new partnership by inviting the teams down to the restaurants to meet their new sponsors.
Local Franchisee Mike McCollum, who owns and operates the two McDonald’s restaurants in Lichfield, says: “Grassroots football is vital for our community, which is why we sponsor local teams through each restaurant. I am delighted to support Chasetown Lioness under 11’s girls and Walsall Wood Rebels under 12’s boys teams with their new kit and training equipment. This support means they can continue to keep their membership fees low and give access to youth football, regardless of background or ability.
