Local business and global success story, Glitterbels is opening a stunning new headquarters in Newcastle Under Lyme and it has to be seen to be believed.
The building, formerly a church, has a jaw-dropping transformation over the last two years with an investment of £500,000, and now stands as a bold, unapologetically pink playground. Part fairytale and part functional, it will be an inspirational setting for nail technicians as the largest training facility in the UK as well as regular nail salon customers.
Founder Annabel Maginnis designed the interiors in her trademark exuberant style, all in an iconic pink shade that blends serious business with serious wow factor.
The launch will be celebrated with a public event on 17 May 2025, where 50 lucky guests will receive an hour-long manicure or pedicure treatment completely for free (normally costing £40), and everyone who attends will be served complimentary drinks, food and enjoy the most Instagrammable locations just for the day that Stoke has ever seen.
They will be entertained on the day with a DJ and all guests are encouraged to come and hang out in the pink palace, which Annabel herself guarantees nobody will have seen before.
The new 850 square metre space will incorporate a nail salon with space for up to 10 nail technicians that will be open to the public that is twice the size of her existing Newcastle Under Lyme salon. Annabel’s training facility will also be located on site, where she trains nail techs either from the start as a change career or develop their skills further in nail art and more advanced techniques. Plus, a retail space open to both trade customers and the public for certain products.
No detail has been missed as the walls and ceiling are completely pink, the original church columns are now gold leaf, fluffy clouds adorn the ceiling, and the walls have been painted with stunning hot air balloons, unicorns and fairytale castles. Even the walls, floors and radiators have been transformed with 100 gallons of pink paint. A second training room is just as spectacular in white with unicorns, clouds, flowers and gold leaf butterflies to complete the magical look.
Annabel said: “I started out as a nail tech working from my mum’s kitchen table and I can’t believe just seven years later we have a global brand. My original salon was a magical wonderland with a full sized white stallion unicorn who had a pink mane and Swarovski crystal horn and this HQ is several stages more extra than that.
“I love bringing glitter and joy into people’s lives whether that’s the customers or the thousands of nail techs I help to train every single year. I can’t wait to get the doors thrown open wide for an exclusive look into my world for everyone in the Midlands to get a taste of the Glitterbels magic.”
Glitterbels offers a range of seven varieties of polish, gel and powder for nails in thousands of amazing colours, as well as files, lamps, various tools and brushes and apparel, everything for a nail tech starting out with their own business.
