The Potteries Centre and Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID are delighted to announce that this year’s Christmas celebration was a resounding success, attracting thousands of visitors to the city centre. The festive parade on Saturday 22nd November saw footfall increase by 3% year-on-year, with families and local residents enjoying a day packed with entertainment, community spirit, and seasonal cheer.
Highlights of the day included Santa’s Parade, performances from the New Vic Theatre, live music, brass bands, roaming entertainers, and festive activities for all ages. Santa and his merry elves were also on hand, spotting the best Christmas jumpers and awarding prizes, adding an extra sparkle to the celebrations.
Amy Whittaker, Centre Director at The Potteries Centre, said: “We are thrilled with how well this year’s Christmas celebration went. It was wonderful to see so many people coming together to enjoy the festivities and soak up the seasonal spirit. The success of the day is a true testament to the strength of our community and the joy of the festive season.”
Visitors also had the opportunity to explore the brand-new Ice Palace Grotto and meet Santa.
