Staffordshire’s Spectacular Seasonal Events This December

We know it’s cold outside, but with the red-hot events lined up for you all to enjoy, we hope you won’t notice how chilly it is!

Step back in time and meet Dr Melford’s Travelling Show with Victorian entertainers like Mr Simpkin, the world’s strongest man, Mr Marrow, the magician, and Dr Clench, who will diagnose your winter ailments. Enjoy a period lantern show, carol singing, and watch the endangered craft of clay pipe making. Normal museum admission applies, plus a small charge to make a clay pipe.

Join the Voices of The Town Hall Choir for an outdoor carol service, accompanied by a brass band. Enjoy mince pies, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and festive treats available for purchase. Admission is free, but please let them know you’re coming

Put on your Santa suit for a fun 5k or 2k dash, run, walk, or dance. Participants aged 5+ receive a free Santa suit with registration. Enjoy festive treats, face painting, and seasonal music. Entry: Adults £15, 5-17 years £12, 4’s and under go free.

Experience the Operation Spitfire Simulator. Book a 30-minute 1:1 Pilot Training session with an instructor or take the kids to a 15-minute Flight School session. £30 for Pilot Training; £6 for Flight School.

Enjoy a hilarious spoof of Charles Dickens’ novels based on the award-winning BBC Radio 4 series. Follow Sir Philip Bin’s story of his youth, from brutal boarding schools to romantic entanglements, while trying to stop his cruel guardian from stealing the family fortune. Tickets £17.25.
