We tried out a new tone matching concealer designed to treat rosacea and red skin conditions naturally
One of the latest releases from KALME dermalogical is the Kalme Chameleon Concealer with SPF20. – Kalme is the the skin care range designed and created to treat rosacea and red skin naturally and effectively.
Like most of the Kalme range, the Chameleon Concealer contains ingredients that help to calm and conceal red patches and uneven skin tone. The product also claims to help reduce skin sensitivity, while protecting from harmful UV rays and improving overall moisture levels and capillary leakage.
The concealer benefits from a patented caper extract called Derma Sensitive, which has been proven in clinical trials to reduce skin redness by up to 70%. And it contains Biolin, a skin prebiotic that’s proven to repair and improve the moisture in the skin.
First impressions
The 30ml bottle is compact but long-lasting, and it’s easily popped inside your bag to take with you for any top-ups during the day. The white bottle is durable and the pump is protected by a clear lid which snaps into place, secure enough to be lose in your makeup bag.
When you pump the product, it’s surprising to see that it’s an unusual green colour. It also has a thick liquid consistency. Once you apply the cream you instantly see the tone matching technology set to work.
I was cautious with my application at first sticking to the most uneven areas on my skin. That’s mainly under my eyes, around my nose and in the middle of my forehead. But as I got more used to the product, I began using it as a primer and base product before applying my foundation. I found it was just as beneficial to use all over my face to give a smoother complexion before beginning my daily makeup routine.
The results
Kalme has a velvety texture on the skin and feels soft to the touch. My face is given an instant lift after application, looking fresh, with an even complexion and dewy glow.
It can be used on its own for a natural look (and when you are in a rush) or as a base for foundation. Or, simply use it to give problem areas the extra moisturisation they need. Kalme Chameleon Concealer is free from parabens, perfumes, SLS and MI.
