1. Oakamoor & Dimmingsdale

Distance: 3 miles

Start: The car park near the Admiral Jervis Inn, ST10 3AG

A flat path through banks of trees by the River Churnet makes this a great family walk.

2. The Trentham Mersey Canal

Distance: 6.5 miles

Start: Keepers Lock near Fradley Junction, DE13 7DW

A fine and easy historical walk along roads and through fields.

3. Froghall and Consall

Distance: 9 miles or a longer 11 miles

Start: The Froghall picnic area, ST10 2HJ

A easy and interesting walk along the Caldon Canal. The longer option goes to the Consall Nature Park.

4. Tittesworth Reservoir

Distance: 4.5 miles

Start: The Visitor Centre, ST13 8SW

Great surface to walk on and interesting scenery to take in.

5. Cannock Chase

Distance: 7 miles

Start: Milford Common car park, ST17 oUH

A moderate but pleasant walk down to a brook with stepping stones, and then through the forest to spot some deer.

6. Ellastone, Wootton and Stanton

Distance: 6.5 miles

Start: A small car park behind the parish hall opposite the church, DE6 2HB

This easy walk (with some steep sections) takes a circular route from Ellastone.

7. Weeford

Distance: 7 miles

Start: On the roadside verge opposite Weeford Church, WS14 0PW

A beautiful walk taking in the Canwell Estate

8. Circuit of Rudyard Lake

Distance: 5 miles

Start: Rudyard Lake car park, ST13 8PF

A great family walk at any time of year.

9. Kings Bromley and Alrewas

Distance: 9 miles

Start: A side street off the A545, DE13 7HE

An easy and level walk through the Trent Valley water meadows.

10.Dillhorne & Tickhill Lane 

Distance: 4.5 miles

Start: The village hall and recreation centre, Dillhorne ST10 2PQ

An easy walk across fields, through woodland and along a country lane.
