Local Recruitment Company celebrates 18 years in business!

Brampton Recruitment is gearing up to celebrate its remarkable 18th birthday in March!

Director Claire Leigh, reflecting on her journey with the Newcastle under Lyme agency, shares the incredible ride they’ve had since opening their office on Brampton in 2006. She says:

“Wow where has that time gone?!  Since opening a small office on the Brampton in 2006, it’s certainly been a roller coaster!  Going through a recession in the early years, moving to bigger premises and growing the team, then navigating through Covid have been memorable events that have helped to shape and develop Brampton – it’s certainly been a lesson that we have to adapt to situations, markets and technology to maintain a presence and continue to grow.”

“Looking back over the years and seeing how far we have come as a business – it’s one of my proudest achievements.  Growing the team, the reputation we have and the relationships we have built over the years with clients and candidates is something I really value.”

Changes to the market, technology and the variety of roles they now cover have meant that they continue to adapt.  As well as covering permanent and temporary roles for commercial and accounts & finance jobs, they now have an industrial division. This has also led to organic geographical growth, with the agency covering Chesire and up to Manchester, in addition to the Staffordshire area.

Claire says “We are so proud to be celebrating our milestone birthday, we have such a passion for recruitment and love that no two days are the same,  the candidate market is tough at the moment, and we remain optimistic, working with so many great businesses is a joy – we hear such amazing stories about clients and their visions and growth plans, it motivates us and we are honoured to be a part of their story to help them achieve their goals.”

Beyond their core recruitment activities, Brampton actively engages in supporting local charities to raise funds and awareness. This year, their chosen charities are the Peter Pan Centre and Dougie Mac. From hosting fundraising events, dance-a-thons, helping out at events and even hosting bake-off competitions, the team is committed to making a positive impact.  Claire says, “We’ve already hosted a ‘Bag it, Bring it’ campaign for Dougie Mac this year and have some plans in place for other fundraising for 2024. We aim to surpass the success of the charity quiz we held last year, which raised a great amount for the Peter Pan Centre!”
