The Old Time Sailors to perform on Trentham’s lakeside stage

They’re performing at the Staffordshire venue on Sunday 1st September

Experience a unique blend of nautical adventure and musical extravaganza as the Old Time Sailors dock at Trentham Estate on Sunday 1st September. This one-night-only event promises an evening filled with sea shanties, folk tunes, and an energetic atmosphere in the stunning surroundings of the award-winning Trentham Gardens.


The 22-member band, known for their dynamic performances and interactive style, invites audiences to step back in time and dive into the maritime world. Under the leadership of the charismatic Captain Nicholas Moffatt, attendees will not just watch but participate, turning from spectators into an integral part of the crew. The crowd will be encouraged to dance and sing along, raise a glass or two of grog and sail away into an evening of live music.


Old Time Sailors at Trentham will be a a show like no other – the talented musicians will perform songs from across the eras and genres; traditional sea faring tunes and shanties mixed with modern day folk and rock numbers, with punk and ska influences.


Trentham’s Head of Events Kerrie Pope said “We are so excited to be bringing this unique event to our lakeside stage this summer. Audiences can look forward to going back to the 19th century for an immersive experience of traditional seafaring music performed in a way you have never seen before!”
