Belong chief operating officer, Sue Goldsmith, said: “We are thrilled to have a record number of nominations for the Great West Midlands Care Awards – to reach this round alone is a massive achievement.

“Many of our team began their careers with us, starting out as support workers and then through training and mentorship, have progressed in seniority. We really are empowered with the autonomy to carry out our roles by putting people first and this enables us to provide the best possible care for our customers.”

The annual Great West Midlands Care Awards acknowledge those working in the care sector throughout the UK, with winners from November’s regional finals advancing to national awards in early 2025.

The news follows Belong’s recent win the 2024 prestigious HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards, having taken the title for Best Health and Wellness Service for its holistic approach to care, breaking the mould of the ‘traditional care home’ by promoting an active lifestyle for customers.
