The team behind the hugely popular, Southern style restaurant, Hickory’s Smokehouse are now ready to swing open the doors at their impressive new restaurant in Stafford.
Their first restaurant in the county, excitement has been building this week as the team have welcomed guests to their community focused training & practice nights.
The team have announced that, now all the final snagging is complete, they will be opening the doors today, Friday 29th November from 4pm, a few days ahead of schedule!
The Chester based company opened their first Hickory’s in Chester over 14 years ago and have restaurants across the North-West, North Wales, West Midlands, Yorkshire and closer to home in the East Midlands and Derbyshire.
Hickory’s General Manager Ryan Sumnal said: ‘The team are absolutely raring to go! We’ve had such a brilliant week, welcoming some of the local community to our practice evenings, and we are super-excited to be throwing open the doors officially, a few days ahead of schedule.’
So far, guests seem to have been blown-away with the team’s authentic take on Southern hospitality, and social media has been buzzing with positive comments and feedback from guests who were lucky enough to attend the practice evenings.
The children’s cinema room, Fro-Co (frozen custard station), and outdoor play area have all been big hits with younger guests while the ‘grown-ups’ have been raving about their new neighbourhood bar area, covered outdoor verandas and of course, the super authentic, Southern style menu!
Lifestyle blogger and Mum of three, Victoria Jones commented: ‘We absolute loved our visit! The Christmas vibe is just gorgeous and the facilities for kids such as cinema room to the Fro-Co station, outdoor area and well-thought out menu are just fab! The kids were made to feel so welcome by the team and we got to enjoy our food in relative peace. And the Eggnog – you must try the Eggnog!’
Vibe FM Breakfast Show host Stu Haycock said: ‘Wow! What an addition to the town’s dining scene. These guys have done an incredible job on the building and interior, it looks incredible! The service, food and attention to detail was just incredible. Five stars from me!
What’s On The Menu?
Think generous dishes, packed with the flavours of the Deep South, from classic smokehouse dishes such as Memphis ribs, Texas-style brisket and BBQ pulled pork all smoked low ‘n’ slow to gravity defying burgers, tasty subs, steaks, and fajitas, alongside a selection of vegetarian options – the menu has something for everyone.
They’ve also got guests covered with quirky desserts, milkshakes, sodas, cocktails & a collection of over 25 bourbons to try, easy-drinking session ales and a selection of bottles & craft beers. Guests are equally welcome for drinks in the bar as they are for dining.
As they famously claim, the new Hickory’s Smokehouse will be serving ‘authentic Southern barbeque, ‘8 days a week’ until 11pm, from their new home on Kingsway, Stafford, from 4pm today!
