An All Ladies Choir (Soprano, Second Soprano & Alto), based in Hednesford, Cannock meet for weekly rehearsals every Wednesday. The choir formed in 2011 and is still going strong. Our Musical Team includes Hannah Hawkeswood (Musical Director) and Dom Treharne (Piano Accompanist). We are currently recruiting for all sections. We are dedicated to sharing our music with as many people in and around our community as possible. Our many memorable experiences include: The Grand Theatre, BGT Audition and reaching the final of Lichfield’s Got Talent. Each performance is a special moment and these experiences have strengthened us as a professional ladies choir. We sing contemporary music from Abba, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Adele and Take That among many others. Over the past few years, Songbirds in Harmony has raised more than £13,000 for various national and local charities, including Alzheimer’s Society, Midlands Air Ambulance, Staffordshire, Shropshire & Cheshire Blood Bikes, Cardiac Unit at New Cross Hospital, Buddy Bags Foundation and The Katherine Allport Foundation. Hannah said ‘We are looking forward to a busy year in 2025 including our Gala Concert in June, Fuse in Lichfield in July, Hednesford Festival in August as well as Christmas sing-outs and concerts to finish the year. We have a fantastic following that has built up over the years and new supporters are always welcome. We’re looking forward to learning new songs and arrangements over the next few months ready for our first concert in June. We’d love to strengthen our choir to get us ready for an exciting year of singing!’
