Polls open for by-election for seat on county council

Churches, community centres, a sports club and even a caravan will be available on Thursday for people to vote in a by-election for a seat on Staffordshire County Council.

There will be sixteen polling stations open across the Eccleshall and Gnosall Division for nearly 11,000 electors to cast their vote. They include St Lukes Church in Norton Bridge, Woodseaves Village Hall, Forton Cricket Club and a caravan in High Offley.

People are reminded to bring photographic identification with them to vote at a polling station – such as a UK passport, Driving Licence, or disabled blue badge. A full list of acceptable identification can be found at Voter ID | Electoral Commission

For a list of candidates, polling stations and further information go to Eccleshall and Gnosall County By Election – 17 July 2025 | Stafford Borough Council

Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday 17 July. The by-election is being held following the resignation of a councillor.
