Get ready to enjoy a Spring day at Trentham. Located in the heart of Staffordshire, Trentham is a magnificent 725-acre estate with something to offer for the whole family this season.

Dino Fun Weekend

On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April, all visitors can enjoy a roarsome adventure at Trentham. The weekend offers a mix of costume performances, amazing puppetry, face painting, fairground rides and food and drink stalls. Children will also receive a free activity trail booklet where they can fill in dinosaur facts as they go around the trail and fill in a word search. Tickets include gardens admission, and can be booked here.

Lambing Live Is Back at Easter

Home to rare breed Jacobs, Hebridean and Herdwick sheep for the last 9 years, this spring sees the return of Lambing Live. Taking place from Friday 22 March, Lambing Live allows visitors to access the sheep field when staff are on hand, and peep into the lambing shelters to witness ewes in labour and newborn lambs bonding with their mothers.

From Saturday 23 March until Sunday 14 April visitors can also take part in an Easter Lamb Trail, taking place throughout the gardens. Children will receive a free activity booklet, where they can help Meryl Sheep find her 8 lost lambs around the gardens, learn facts from the lambing experts and enjoy a colouring in sheet to take home. Lambing Live and the Easter Lamb trail are both included in gardens admission which can be booked here.

Trentham Springs into Colour

Already beginning to bloom, Trentham is home to a fantastic array of different colours and scents throughout its annual Spring Bulb Festival. January saw snowdrops and February showed Crocuses and Cyclamens. March is dominated by large swathes of daffodil displays and the start of the emerging pot displays with irises ready for the bees to enjoy and sprawling Oxlip meadow in the woodlands.

The main display will bloom from April, when the Italian Gardens truly comes alive with tulips packed with fragrance and alive with bees looking for an early source of spring nectar. The woodland meadows will also be carpeted with white wood anemones. May will see the additional late flowering tulips and bluebells carpeting Trentham’s historic woodland, creating a blue haze between the trees.

Visitors are invited to enjoy this uplifting, immersive and colourful experience throughout the Italian Gardens and beyond until Friday 31 May. With over a million bulbs planted in the gardens, visitors are guaranteed something new to see with each spring visit.

All aboard Miss Elizabeth!

During the Easter holidays the cruise sets sail every half an hour between 11am and 4.30pm, and costs £3 per person per trip.
