The Coral join the line up as support act
Trentham Live is delighted to announce the Friday night headline act for its much-anticipated 2026 music spectacular. Returning from Thursday 20 August to Sunday 23 August, next year’s four-day event see’s the return of Trentham Live after the format took a year off to celebrate the city’s 100 year anniversary. The 4 major live shows take place set against the iconic backdrop of Trentham Gardens.
On Friday 21 August, Primal Scream will take to the stage as headline act. The Scottish indie pioneers have spent decades reshaping the sound of rock’n’roll, dance, and everything in between. Their recent 12th studio album, Come Ahead, marked an exciting new chapter for the band. Lead single ‘Love Insurrection’, reimagined by UK deep house innovators Black Science Orchestra, pulses with deep bass, funk-rich guitars, soaring flutes and strings, while Bobby Gillespie’s impassioned vocals deliver a powerful call for unity and hope.
The band were a key part of the mid-1980s indie pop scene, but eventually moved away from their old sound, taking on more psychedelic and then garage rock influences, before incorporating a dance music element to their sound. Their 1991 album Screamadelica broke the band into the mainstream.
Trentham Live has firmly established itself as a standout fixture on the UK summer calendar, attracting audiences from across the country with a programme that appeals to music lovers of all ages.
Joining Primal Scream on the bill are The Coral, renowned for their sixties-influenced blend of Merseybeat, psych-folk, indie pop and garage rock. Bursting onto the scene in the early 2000s, the Wirral six-piece quickly distinguished themselves with James Skelly’s unmistakable vocals and their unique ability to weave together an eclectic mix of genres.

Tickets for Primal Scream at Trentham Live 2026 go on general sale from 10.00am on Friday 12 December through Ticketmaster.
Pre-sale tickets for Trentham members will be available from Friday 12 December at 9.00am.
