Chasetown-based company, Tara Group, will be hosting an evening of free entertainment and festive fun on Thursday 28th November at Chasetown High Street’s Christmas lights switch-on.
The event, which returns for its sixth year, is hosted and fully funded by the family-owned Tara Group.
Between 6pm-8pm, the local community is invited to join the countdown to switch on the village’s Christmas lights, enjoy complimentary refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies, and visit market stalls hosted by local and independent businesses. Younger attendees will also be able to visit Santa’s Grotto as well as enjoy free fairground rides, while also being able to meet and greet ‘Frozen’-themed characters.
Local councillor, Darren Ennis, will join Charmaine Sweeney, organiser of the event and daughter of Noel Sweeney, the late founder of the Tara Group, to switch on the lights at 6pm. Tara Group, which consists of Cameron Homes, Chasetown Civil Engineering and Keon Homes, hosts the Christmas event every year as part of its continued commitment to the local community it operates in.
Charmaine Sweeney commented: “Our annual Christmas lights switch-on event truly is a highlight of our year and something we look forward to every November. We’re delighted to be able to host this event for the local community that we’re so proud to operate within.”
