Something special is happening at Yarlet.
This February, we open our doors not simply to showcase our school, but to share a renewed vision, one that reflects who we truly are and what we have always believed: that education should unlock a child’s future without ever compromising their happiness.
On Friday 27th February, families are invited to experience a School in Action Day, an opportunity to see Yarlet as it truly is: purposeful, energetic, focused and joyful. Visitors will tour classrooms during a normal working day, meet pupils immersed in their learning and witness first-hand the balance we have achieved between academic rigour and genuine childhood.
On Saturday 28th February, from 9:30am–12pm, we will host what we are proudly calling our Whole Community Open Day. Past, present and prospective families are warmly invited to come together for tours, conversation and refreshments. This is a celebration of our community, a school that feels like family.
At Yarlet, we are proudly non-selective. We do not define children by a single measure or narrow expectation. Instead, we identify strengths, nurture potential and create pathways that allow every child to flourish, academically, socially and personally.
Our results speak confidently for themselves. 100% of our pupils move on to their first-choice senior school at 13+. Around 50% secure scholarships, many to leading public schools including Shrewsbury. Yet what truly defines us is not simply destination, but the journey.

Within our 30 acres of grounds, children are allowed to stay children for longer. We believe deeply in protecting the joy of childhood, in muddy games fields, creative arts, outdoor learning and laughter-filled classrooms. We call this Learning Without Walls. Education that extends beyond desks and textbooks into opportunity, exploration and experience.
