The Nantwich Food Festival Exhibitor Team have a real challenge each year in booking a good balance of exhibitors including those who bring something a little different to Nantwich to give a great festival experience for us all.
The team knows that they just have to re-book our favourites such as Yum Yum Street Food, Weston Biltong and Nantwich’s own Cheshire Cheese Company, plus that the Festival would simply not be the same without The Knife Sharpener Guy, Riverford Organic or Bongos Rock & Roll Chillis, so of course they and many more regulars will all again feature in Nantwich Food Festival 2024 over the weekend Friday 30th.August to Sunday 1st September inclusive.
So this year, the team would like to introduce you to some brand new-to-Nantwich Festival exhibitors:
If you’re in the square and are in need of something sweet, you will be spoiled for choice with Plant Brownies, who bring their vegan brownies across from Chirk; then there is Chappers Cheesecake, whose vegan cheesecakes are from Stratford-Upon-Avon way.
If Italian sweet treats are more to your taste, then why not try the cannoli, amaretti and other wonders from Nantwich based business Cara Miss-Italian Sweet Treats.
Over at the Mornflake Pavilion, another new-to-Nantwich stall holder will be Blueberry Hill Preserves, who offer not just preserves and chutneys, but sauces and cheeses too. Grasmere Gingerbread – offering what they call a “spicy-sweet cross between a biscuit and a cake are a great new addition. Nearby, is Bonnie Yau’s, where you will find a wonderful stall offering a quite unique range of free-from ingredients plus vegan Thai and many other great finds – definitely one to look out for.
At the Love Lane end of town, you will find other Nantwich newbies: first up is Mulberry Bakehouse with their great pastries, plus how about The March Hare Bakery with their gourmet macarons .In the nearby grassed area, milkshakes straight from the dairy, iced coffee and cookie baking kits can be found at the Winsbury Dairy stall from Montgomery.
We hear the shout from Nantwich residents ‘what about our well-loved Nantwich based treat stalls?’ “Don’t worry” says Julian Thompson, Exhibitor Manager “We will, of course, have the lovely La Dolce Vita, Cheshire Cupcakes, Sweet Pea’s, Cheerbrooks and Three Wrens Gins all waiting for you.”
Julian goes on to say “There are plenty of street food stalls for you to try, with pretty much every taste catered for, hot drinks, cold drinks – alcoholic or not, cheeses, breads, meats, plus you can even book a holiday at Nantwich Food Festival! if you wish”
Julian finishes by saying “As a food festival, we realise that it is vital to minimise and manage our packaging waste, and sorting the waste is a huge part of this, so we are continuing our work on improving Nantwich Food Festival’s sustainability.
Both the exhibitors, who are onboard with our plans, and Festival visitors have a major role to play in how successful we are, so visitors should look out for signage or ask a volunteer regarding how they can help this year; placing any waste in the correct bin will make a huge difference”
