The Burton pub reopened on 3rd December with an exciting new look
The Albion is now open, boasting an investment of over £316,900 that has transformed it to feature a host of exciting upgrades.
Introducing its innovative “Two Door Pub” concept, The Albion now offers a sports bar area and a separate family lounge, creating two distinct spaces: a lively bar for the locals and a cosy, family-friendly lounge. Designed to cater to all occasions, The Albion brings the community together, offering guests the flexibility to enjoy their ideal experience with no compromises.
The community hero chosen to pull the first pint at the pub’s opening was ‘Jaffa’, who has worked at Marston’s Burton brewery for more than 25 years. During his long career with Marston’s, he was based at the Burton brewery. He has also served as a drayman and is now a much-loved regular. Jaffa even steps into the role of Santa for our annual Christmas Breakfast with Santa event. The other community hero chosen to pull the first pint to mark the pub’s opening was Billy Brewer, the Burton Albion Football Club Mascot.
The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action. The space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table, so guests can challenge friends, enjoy some friendly competition, and soak up the lively atmosphere.
The Albion is a dog-friendly locals’ pub with a community feel. Locals can now drop by for a pint and a bite to eat, celebrating unmissable moments in the heart of the community. The pub continues to serve its popular pub favourites, amongst specials from the festive menu, such as the Festive Beef Burger, Loaded Roast Potatoes, and Dark Chocolate Mint Tart.
Now open, The Albion will host a variety of events over the festive period, including:
- Santa Paw on 7th December
- Psychic Night with Angel Attic on 9th December
- Breakfast with Santa on 13th December
- SEN Breakfast with Santa on 14th December
