Celebrity chef on the menu as housebuilders launch new homes

Three local housebuilders are coming together to host a one-of-a-kind event, with celebrity chef Tom Shepherd, to celebrate the launch of a new development in Lichfield.

On Saturday 28th February, from 10am-4pm, Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Redrow, who together form the UK’s largest housebuilder, will be joining forces to unveil seven stunning new show homes at Curborough Fields on Watery Lane, WS13 8ES.

Renowned chef Tom Shepherd, who boasts a Michelin star for his local restaurant, Upstairs, will be showcasing his culinary talents, at 11am and 1.30pm, in Redrow’s Harrogate Lifestyle show home. With two demonstrations throughout the day, visitors will be treated to one of Tom’s specialties, choux bun desserts.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy fruity mocktails from Lichfield-based Tipples & Tonics as they take a tour of Barratt Homes’ new show homes at Curborough Fields, the two-bedroom Linstead and the three-bedroom Brancaster. Both homes are perfectly proportioned and ideal for those looking to take the first step on the property ladder.

With David Wilson show homes just next door, visitors can take a tour of the stylish four-bedroom Culver and Wychwood show homes, perfect for growing families. Local favourite, Thyme Kitchen will be serving tasty canapés from the impressive show home kitchen, including chicken satay skewers, chicken pate and caramelised onion croute, and smashed avocado toast with feta.

A short walk through the development, and visitors will arrive at Redrow’s three stunning eco-electric show homes, the Stratford Lifestyle, Leamington Lifestyle and Harrogate Lifestyle. All three homes offer classic architecture with serious kerb appeal, and inside, there’s a modern, high-spec interior, open-plan living spaces, spacious lounges, and three bedrooms, all featuring en-suites.

To officially open the development, Michelin-starred chef, Tom Shepherd, will join the Sheriff of Lichfield, Revd Ian Hayter, for a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The moment will mark the beginning of a new community at Curborough Fields and highlight the significance of the three leading brands coming together for this landmark launch.

Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director at Redrow Midlands, said: “It’s wonderful to be hosting our first ever launch event with Barratt and David Wilson. We’re thrilled to be working in partnership to bring much-needed, high quality family homes of all sizes to the people of Lichfield.
