Staffordshire’s first Michelin-starred chef and the Sheriff of Lichfield joined three local housebuilders on the weekend to host a one-of-a-kind event celebrating the launch of a new development in Lichfield.
Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Redrow joined forces to unveil seven stunning new show homes at Curborough Fields, Watery Lane, WS13 8ES.
Visitors attended the event to view the brand-new properties and enjoy a full programme of activities as they explored what life at the development could be like.
Popular with visitors, renowned chef Tom Shepherd, who boasts a Michelin star for his restaurant, Upstairs, hosted two live cooking demonstrations in the stunning kitchen at Redrow’s Harrogate Lifestyle show home, showcasing his top culinary skills. Guests were treated to one of Tom’s specialities, choux bun desserts, as they toured the home.
To officially open the development, Tom Shepherd joined the Sheriff of Lichfield, Rev’d Ian Hayter, for a ceremonial ribbon cutting, marking the beginning of what is set to become a thriving new community at Curborough Fields.
Across the development, visitors also enjoyed a variety of food and drink from local businesses as they chatted to the sales team about what’s on offer.
Visitors touring Barratt Homes’ two show homes, the two-bedroom Linstead and the three-bedroom Brancaster, sampled fruity mocktails provided by Lichfield-based Tipples & Tonics. Both homes are perfectly proportioned and ideal for those looking to take the first step on the property ladder.
Meanwhile, just next door, those exploring David Wilson Homes’ stylish four-bedroom Culver and Wychwood show homes were served tasty canapés from Thyme Kitchen, including mushroom and tarragon en croute, puff pastry topped with parmesan and chive, and chicken pâté en croute with caramelised onion and chive.
Guests could also explore Redrow’s three stunning eco-electric show homes, the Stratford Lifestyle, Leamington Lifestyle and Harrogate Lifestyle. Popular among families looking for their forever home, all three properties offer classic architecture with serious kerb appeal, and inside, there’s a modern, high-spec interior, open-plan living spaces, spacious lounges, and three bedrooms, all featuring en-suites.
